Shades of Grey
It’s not always black and white
There are many shades of grey
Even though I am alive
I feel dead night and day
I remember days of sunshine
When nothing seemed to hurt me
I know darkness, I know death
Now there is no going back
She used to paint beautiful canvas
Crafting with clay and porcelain
Then death came and paralysed her
Death drained of all my life
It’s not always black and white
There are many shades of grey
Even though I am alive
I feel dead night and day
Lost in the shadows, in a desert land
I am lonely and no one seems to care
I ask Spirit to grant me peace and grace
I find myself when my feet are in the sand
I close my eyes and I see a blue sea
There is no pain, no more doubts and fears
Even though I bleed I have no tears to cry
As the ocean is the place where I will die
It’s not always black and white
There are many shades of grey
Even though I am alive
I feel dead night and day
Maybe one day I will meet my love again
We will be together in a burning flame
Maybe God will be forgiving all my sins
And the shadows will stop following me
Is redemption the key of happiness?
Is this life a trial, until the end?
Unbearable pain, until my last day
There are many, many shades of grey
There are many shades of grey
There are many shades of grey
There are many shades of grey
There are many shades of grey
There are many shades of grey
There are many shades of grey
