G.Are you currently busy releasing a new album? Can you tell us more about the music video and album release?

S. Yes. Actually the tracks are ready, there are just some details that I’m taking care of. I am very proud of my work, and I can’t wait to publish it. In my opinion, this is the best song I’ve written as a song-writer and the most complex music video I’ve directed.

I am very , very excited about the remixes too. I’m collaborating with a very talented Italian producer, Enrico Tavernini. He transformed my piece by understanding my vision. I love the way he arranged my song in the two alternative versions!

G. What makes this release different from the previous ones?

S. First of all, the motivation behind it. When I started this musical journey, my intent was mainly to create and express myself. This still exists, but there is also a more technical and business oriented approach. Although I am busy with various roles – Manager, Producer, Director – I am above all a musician, and song-writer, and I am very proud to be where I am now only with my own strength. I know if it all seems very vague… but the meaning of the song is quite intricate and encompasses all the work done in these years. I feel like I’ve grown a lot, as an artist and as a person.

G: How are you different nowadays? What’s changed?

S. I would say that I am no longer a victim of the judgment of others and that I am fully committed now. To myself and to my career.

For me this new album is the beginning of a new chapter in my life! 

I am fearless, or at least I leave the fears I had until now, and say what I think. As I said before, I no longer let myself be influenced by external judgment. Of course, if it’s constructive feedback I’m happy to receive it; but if they are nasty comments, or judgments that come from those who don’t understand music, they are meaningless.

G: About the music video, why was it the hardest? Did you enjoy being both Director and Performer?

S: I definitely enjoyed being in charge of various aspects of the video, because I knew and I know exactly what I want, I know the vision. The difficult part was communicating and making the team understand the vision. This time the technical team was not made up of all professionals, as the budget was limited, so I also had to train them. There were also a lot of extras in the video, and I had to pay attention to everyone and everything on set, and also focus on the performance. It was an experience that taught me a lot and I can’t wait to make the next video!

G: Could you already give us a date for the video and the release of the single?

S. Not really! But it will certainly be by September 2023. The official date will be announced shortly.
